SA-TIED Seminar: Agglomeration and productivity in South Africa
SA-TIED researchers Njeri Wabiri and David Fadiran will present their recent research on the spatial dynamics of firm-level productivity in South Africa to policy officials. Their research examines the role played by the regional clustering of firms and the resulting impact of agglomeration on employment, productivity, and firm-level success. Their research conclusions are relevant to the ongoing process of regional industrial policy creation aimed at stimulating growth and expanding employment.
This event is a part of the SA-TIED Seminar Series organized in conjunction with UNU-WIDER, SARS, and the National Treasury to assist in sharing new and ongoing research from the SA-TIED programme with policy staff. The seminar is intended to assist in the capacity building efforts of the programme and its partners in South African government.
It is open to SA-TIED programme participants and staff working in the economics cluster in South Africa.
