PITMOD Workshop

SA-TIED will hold a 2-day workshop for the team working together to build PITMOD, a microsimulation model for personal income tax that will use the EUROMOD microsimulation software and be underpinned by tax administrative data. The PITMOD project proposal was co-designed by SARS and SASPRI.

The workshop will take place at the South African Revenue Service in Pretoria, South Africa. The objective is to establish PITMOD’s working teams, agree on timelines for the different aspects of the project, and begin several of the project's core activities. The event is carried out by the SA-TIED work stream on Public revenue mobilization for inclusive development.
